Tech Life Sydney creates awareness of the energetic tech scene evolving in Sydney as Australian founded technology companies scale to have a global impact. They needed an illustrated map on their website homepage to showcase these companies and their potential job opportunities as well as illustrate Sydney as a vibrant, liveable city.

The initial brief was to showcase around 30 companies however with the map’s success, 70 companies were secured in the second round after it went live. We then translated this into an interactive map which required UI elements and a lightbox for details on each company on both mobile and desktop.
Process
Working out the general coverage and location of each suburb and the best perspective to illustrate the city with a low, front-on view whilst keeping each company accurately positioned. Below is a breakdown of the suburbs, activities and sites.
